With reference to my letter, W.206529/16, of
October 20th last, relative to the activities of the
Basel Mission in China, I am directed by Viscount Grey
of Fallodon to transmit to you, herewith, for the
information of Mr. Secretary Bonar Law, a copy of a
further despatch on the subject from His Majesty's
Minister at Berne.
I am to enquire whether Mr. Law would desire
that the Japanese and Chinese Governments should be
approached with a view to obtaining information
regarding these activities of the Mission, as
suggested by ilr. Beak.
